British Indie Rock Band Easy Life to Release Final Single Trust Exercises After Losing Legal Battle with EasyGroup

Easy Life, the British indie rock band, is set to release their final single under their current band name after losing a legal battle against EasyGroup. The band, comprised of Murray Matravers, Oliver Cassidy, Sam Hewitt, Lewis Berry, and Jordan Birtles, announced on their Instagram page that their last song as Easy Life, titled Trust Exercises, will be released on Friday, October 13.

In a heartfelt statement accompanying the announcement, the band revealed that Trust Exercises had been in the works for over 6 years and was finally ready for release. However, due to the legal dispute with EasyGroup, they were forced to expedite the release as they were given a deadline to release any music under the Easy Life name.

The band explained that they were sued by EasyGroup and faced the choice of changing their name or facing costly legal battles. Despite exploring all options, Easy Life ultimately decided to change their name in order to move forward.

Easy Life, known for their albums ‘But In Another Life’ and ‘Life’s A Beach’, has been active since 2017 and has garnered a loyal fan base. To bid farewell to their current band name, the band will be holding farewell parties for fans at Leicester Academy on Thursday, October 12, and at Koko on Friday.

This legal battle marks the end of an era for Easy Life, but fans can look forward to the release of Trust Exercises as a final tribute to the band’s journey under their current name.
