Brodies LLP Announces Four New Partners and Strategic Appointments
Brodies LLP, one of the UK’s top 50 law firms and a leading Scottish firm, has announced the appointment of four new partners in its latest round of promotions and strategic appointments.
Scott Logan, a rural business and natural capital lawyer based in Edinburgh, has been promoted to partner. Joining him are renewables specialist Claire Reid, construction law expert Kirsteen Milne, and private client partner Emily Pike, who is dual-qualified in Scots and English law.
In addition to the new partners, Brodies has also promoted six colleagues, three to legal director and three to senior associate. The firm has also announced a change in leadership, with Stephen Goldie taking over as managing partner from Nick Scott, who is retiring from the partnership after his second term of office.
Goldie, who joined Brodies in 2002 and became a partner in 2007, expressed his excitement about leading the firm during a time of growth and opportunity. He highlighted the firm’s three-year strategic plan, which focuses on adapting to technological and societal changes to better serve clients.
Louise Shiels and Marion MacInnes have also been appointed as heads of the firm’s dispute resolution and risk, and banking and finance practice areas, respectively.
Goldie emphasized the firm’s commitment to investing in its people and recognizing their value in delivering high-quality legal advice to clients. He welcomed Emily Pike to the firm, noting her expertise in complex personal and estate matters will be valuable to clients in the UK and overseas.
Overall, the appointments and strategic changes at Brodies signal a new chapter for the firm as it continues to evolve and adapt to the changing legal landscape.
