Scottish Child Law Centre Launches New Online Masterclasses with Senior Solicitor Jamie Speirs
The Scottish Child Law Centre is taking a proactive approach to supporting children’s rights with the launch of a new series of online masterclasses led by their senior solicitor, Jamie Speirs.
Ms. Speirs, who recently transitioned from a volunteer solicitor to a permanent staff member, is excited to be a part of the charity’s efforts to empower children and families through legal knowledge. The first masterclasses will focus on key topics such as the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Children (Scotland) Act 1995.
Director Sarah Forster emphasized the importance of preventing breaches of children’s rights and providing support when they do occur. The charity is committed to working with partners and individuals to ensure that children’s rights are legally protected and upheld.
With a dedicated team of volunteer solicitors and a focus on practical legal training, the Scottish Child Law Centre is poised to make a significant impact in the field of children’s rights advocacy. Stay tuned for more updates on their important work in the coming months.
