Fifty Fifty to Return as Five-Member Group in September, Keena to Lead

Fifty Fifty, the K-pop girl group that took the world by storm with their hit song “Cupid” in 2022, is set to make a comeback in September as a five-member group. This news comes after a tumultuous year for the group, during which their agency, Attrakt, was embroiled in a legal dispute with former members over their exclusive contracts.

Last June, the original members of Fifty Fifty – Sio, Saena, Aran, and Keena – filed for an injunction to suspend their contracts with Attrakt, citing the agency’s failure to provide financial data and lack of care for their health conditions. The Seoul Central District Court denied their injunction and subsequent appeal, leading to a lawsuit filed by Attrakt seeking 13 billion won ($9.9 million) against the singers and their “supporters.”

Despite the legal challenges, Fifty Fifty is now gearing up for their comeback with a rebranded lineup that includes Keena and four new members chosen through closed auditions. The group’s agency, Attrakt, has expressed their commitment to raising the quality of Fifty Fifty’s music and performance before their official return in September.

Fifty Fifty first gained international recognition with the success of “Cupid” on platforms like TikTok and the Billboard charts. Despite their rapid rise to fame, the group faced setbacks due to the legal dispute with former members. However, with the support of their fans and a new lineup in place, Fifty Fifty is poised to reclaim their status as one of the best K-pop girl groups in the industry.

Stay tuned for more updates on Fifty Fifty’s comeback and their upcoming music releases as they strive to make a triumphant return to the K-pop scene.
