Burness Paull has made history once again by becoming the first employer in Scotland to be reaccredited as Menopause Friendly. This prestigious recognition highlights the firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting colleagues experiencing menopause in the workplace.

The firm initially received the Menopause Friendly accreditation accolade three years ago, making them the first employer in Scotland and the first law firm in the UK to achieve this recognition. An independent panel assesses organizations for accreditation based on their continued efforts to focus on menopause in the workplace.

Burness Paull has had a menopause policy framework in place for over three years, providing all colleagues with access to training, practical support, and resources. The firm also has trained menopause champions throughout the organization to offer additional support.

In the years following their initial accreditation, Burness Paull has expanded their resources to better support those impacted by menopause and peri-menopause. This includes offering signposting, reasonable adjustments, and occupational health referrals.

This recent reaccreditation follows Burness Paull’s win for Best Diversity and Inclusion Initiative at the s1 Jobs Recruitment Awards 2024. The firm is also shortlisted for awards in the Support and Wellbeing, Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion, and Diversity and Inclusion Champion categories at upcoming industry events.
